We have a small 10 acre hobby farm that we are growing and beginning to practice a restorative, permaculture style approach with. So far we have a large flock of laying chickens, a few ducks and a goose on the pond, and a pair of horses wandering the pasture area. Future animal plans for the farm include a few cows for personal production and possibly some goats for ruffage control maybe.
We are heading into a house build in the coming year and will be documenting this project here as well. The plans are mostly set and now it is a waiting game for lumber prices and our savings to hit an equilibrium point so we can start work.
Plans for a raised bed garden place are in the works as well. This will pull from inspiration found on 9 mile farm run by Jack Spirko, as well as other sources and include a timber framed pond as a focal point of the garden to experiment with aquaculture, aquapoincs, and other interesting grow processes.
